In the wake of the 2020 Global Covid-19 pandemic, I made a profound shift from away from my career as a Graphic Designer and Art Director by returning to academia, with the goal of completing my undergraduate degrees and ultimately pursuing both a Master’s and a Doctorate. My chosen academic field is Sociology, though my research will be inherently interdisciplinary, encompassing the fields of Biology, Cultural Anthropology, History, Human Development, Philosophy, Psychology, and Social Work.
My primary research focus will be a comprehensive study of love through the lenses of these diverse academic fields. The objective is to develop a teachable academic framework that covers all known typologies of love. This framework aims not to instruct individuals on how to love but rather to educate them about the various typologies, their historical functions, and their manifestations in both healthy and unhealthy forms.
This academic journey is driven by my belief that a great many of humanity’s problems, conflicts, and difficulties can be traced directly back to a lack of critical, comprehensive, and realistic understanding of the typologies of love. By addressing this longstanding gap in knowledge, I aspire to contribute to the resolution of these fundamental issues through education and awareness.
